During the third year of medical school, JABSOM students can complete their Longitudinal Integrated Clerkships semester on the neighbor islands. Students rotate through local clinics in the six core medical fields while being supervised by physician preceptors. The longitudinal nature of the clerkships allow a ample opportunity for students to build relationships with their patients, receive professional and personal mentoring, explore the island and integrate into its community.

Fourth year medical students may also complete neighbor island elective rotations in several specialties including Geriatrics and Emergency Medicine.
